Curriculum

Date of birth: Maj 26, 1974

Giovanni Lucchetta is Assistant Professor of Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Padova. He graduated in Management Engineering at the University of Padova in 2000, and he got the PhD degree in Industrial Manufacturing Engineering with dissertation “Product Structure Simplification for Manufacture and Assembly” at University of Parma in 2004. His main research interests are on polymer processing, with particular reference to injection moulding.

Educational activity
Lucchetta is a lecturer at the University of Padova for the following courses: “Fundamentals of Manufacturing Technology” for Aerospace Engineering students, “Product Design for Manufacture and Environment” and “Laboratory of Virtual Prototyping of Manufacturing Processes” for Mechanical Engineering students.

Main Research Topics
Concurrent engineering and polymer processing, with particular reference to injection moulding.

Lucchetta is research affiliate member of CIRP (International Academy for Production Engineering), and member of ESAFORM (European Scientific Association for Material Forming), SPE (Society of Plastics Engineers), AITeM (Associazione Italiana di Tecnologia Meccanica) and SIR (Italian Society of Rheology).
