Safety and protection at work, fashion and sport are sectors in which the Veneto Region stands out for its quality and excellence, and thus for its competitive strength at national, European and, in some cases, world level. In relation to what has been sanctioned within the S3 Strategic Plan, this competitive advantage must be pursued, continuously updated and extended through collaborative applied research activities carried out in synergy between companies and universities, promoting and triggering a process of development and innovation, both technological and creative, capable of providing the necessary inputs for the continuous renewal of products and processes, strategies and business models. The RELIABLE project therefore proposes a renewal path based on three key points: enabling power, comfort and safety. In this way, it is possible to strengthen companies and guarantee them continuous growth potential, precisely because of the attitude of constantly innovating not only products and processes, but also company organisation and business methods and strategies aimed at revising practices and business models from a sustainable perspective.

The RELIABLE project involves a large number of companies from all over the Veneto region, coordinated by Politecnico Calzaturiero and UNINT, with the technical and scientific expertise of the University of Padua (Centre for Mechanics of Biological Materials CMBM, Department of Industrial Engineering DII, Department of Technology and Management of Industrial Systems DTG) and the University of Verona (Sport, Mountains and Health Research Centre Ce.Ri.S.M.).
